Thank you for visiting. Anna is my baby niece. Daughter to my brother Andrew and his wife Kim. Anna was born in September of 2017, and has brought me and my family so much joy.

Anna was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome in early May 2018 after suffering prolonged seizures following her 4 and 6 month vaccinations. While shocked and saddened by the news, we are intent to remain optimistic and focus on the reasons for hope, of which there are many.

The mission of DSF is to aggressively raise research funds for Dravet Syndrome and related epilepsies; to increase awareness of these catastrophic conditions; and to provide support to affected individuals and families. These fundraising efforts are critical to this important cause and help find a cure for this horrible disease.

Dravet syndrome is a rare, catastrophic, lifelong form of epilepsy that begins in the first year of life with frequent and/or prolonged seizures.

Current treatment options are limited, and the constant care required for someone suffering from Dravet syndrome. It can severely impact the patient’s and the family’s quality of life.

I have set a goal to raise $10,000 from now through 2019. Any support is appreciated to help reach this goal. Andrew, who is an accomplished marathoner, ran this year for Anna, Kim and all of the brave Dravet children who have come before her. He raised over $10,000 in running the 2018 Chicago and New York City marathons. Kim's sister Chelsea Nusslock raised over $31,000 with her Platform tennis network (e.g. Fall Brawl and National Charities Paddle Tournament ). Our family plans to do additional fundraisers in the months and years ahead. Never give up and find a cure. Together, we have raised over $150,000 so far in an overall effort to raise $1 million dollars to this important cause.

Our sincere thanks for anything you can contribute, and those that already have.

This cause is very important to us, and we appreciate all the support we can get for Anna and all the children like her! Together we can make a difference and find a cure.

With love and gratitude,

raised of $10,000 goal
